Today, the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is still in the hospital's international military about 50 kilometers east of Cairo. The former president is threatening to commit suicide if he was transferred to the prison hospital Tara. Then on May 17, 2011 Mubarak's lawyer, Farid al-Deib trying to prevent the arrest of Suzanne. He asked Suzanne gave all her wealth to the Government of Egypt, so she get free from corruption charges.

Susanne also recalled the last days of the power of her husband. She said that the United States, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait offered residence to her husband and all her family members in early February 2011.
